The rapid population growth, increasing global energy demand, climate change, and excessive use of fossil fuels have adversely affected environmental management sustainability. Furthermore, the requirements for a safer ecology environment necessitated renewable materials, thereby solving problem sustainability resources. In this perspective, lignocellulosic biomass is an attractive natural resource because its abundance, renewability, recyclability, low cost. ever-increasing developments in nanotechnology opened up new vistas sensor fabrication such as biosensor design electronics, communication, automobile, optical products, packaging, textile, biomedical, tissue engineering. Due to their outstanding properties biodegradability, biocompatibility, non-toxicity, improved electrical thermal conductivity, high physical mechanical properties, surface area catalytic activity, bionanomaterials including nanocellulose nanolignin emerge very promising raw materials be used development high-impact biosensors. article, applications reviewed major challenges opportunities are identified.
